The Second Seldon Crisis
The new teaser for Season 2 reveals that the Foundation will face a new crisis, known as the Second Seldon Crisis. An uprising is brewing from within the Galactic Empire, and the rebels are in danger.
The Crisis of Religion
Season 2 will see the Crisis of Religion begin to arise from within the rebels’ ranks. The Cleons continue to fall apart, and Queen Sareth (Ella-Rae Smith) plots to bring everything crumbling from the inside. Hari, Gaal, and Salvor realize that not all is as it seems as they come across a colony of Mentalics with psionic abilities who could single-handedly throw psychohistory altogether off-kilter.
All Empires Fall
The new season will see the Foundation seeking to build a new empire, but the Cleons are starting to question whether the group truly can predict the future. Storm clouds gather on the horizon, and Hari ominously utters the phrase, “All empires fall.”
New Cast Members
Showrunner David S. Goyer has expanded the cast for Season 2, with several new faces joining the show. Isabella Laughland, Kulvinder Ghir, Holt McCallany, Rachel House, Nimrat Kaur, Ben Daniels, and Dimitri Leonidas are all set to appear, along with returning stars Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey as Gaal Dornick and Salvor Hardin.
